Electrical Project Engineer: Hunt Valley , MD

 

Our client seeking a degreed Electrical Engineer with the desire to work within a fast-paced quality driven environment within a growing organization. Working with senior engineering staff from the initial conceptual electrical design to construction and commissioning of large and small facilities type projects. The Electrical Engineer will have the opportunity work with a diverse and experienced staff in resolving a variety of complex problems, (i.e. conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements) while benefitting from a solid quality control process. The ideal candidate is an individual with the motivation and desire to excel within the consulting engineering field while embracing challenges as opportunities for personal and professional growth within the organization.

Typical work assignments center around facilities engineering and design projects of varying sizes within the educational, public works, water/wastewater, transportation, transit, health care and aviation industries. JMT is seeking candidates with a wide range of design and engineering experience with building electrical systems including lighting systems, power and emergency power distribution systems; fire alarm systems; security; CCTV and access control; and communication systems.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Perform design computations
  • Design projects in accordance with client specifications and guidelines, using design software and drawing tools
  • Develop construction cost estimates
  • Prepare and compile contract plans, specifications and estimates
  • Attend meetings with clients
  • Coordinate with internal team members to ensure project completion by the defined deadline and established quality

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering 
  • Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening
  • 5-10 years’ experience related to electrical power distribution, power generation, motor controls, lighting and lighting controls, fire alarm design, telecommunications network design, or security systems design.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Work, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of Autodesk’s CADD and Autodesk’s Revit
  • Proficient in discipline specific design software
  • Written and communication skills
  • Understanding and application of NEC, IBC, and NFPA codes for completing electrical design work.

Preferred Experience

  • Professional Engineer License
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project
  • Working knowledge of Bentley’s Microstation
  • Working knowledge of Electrical Modeling Software, SKM Power Tools or ETAP
  • Working knowledge of Lighting Modeling Software, AGi32 or ElumTools.

Working Conditions

Water/Wastewater Project Manager: Hunt Valley, MD

 

 The Water/Wastewater (W/WW) team at our client location epitomizes dynamism and innovation. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Manages project(s) in accordance with scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Collaborates with disciplines and subconsultants to develop a risk adverse project scope and fee.
  • Develop project specific project plans, Project Management Plans/quality management plan.
  • Create and maintain project schedules.
  • Manage subconsultants.
  • Monitor and execute project progress, including identifying and mitigate risks, developing extra work order requests and open-end contract task proposals.

Water/Wastewater Project Engineer I: Hunt Valley, MD


Seeking a career-minded Water/Wastewater engineer, looking towards advancement, is needed to join a fast growing Water/Wastewater consultant engineering practice. Employee will plan lead engineering designs in the water/wastewater field through working knowledge of applicable design criteria, regulatory requirements, standards and processes; conduct multiple design projects simultaneously, prepare and update project schedules; develop, analyze and document critical design elements; coordinate the efforts of a design team to determine requirements and incorporate feedback. The selected candidate will become part of an established team of engineers working on exciting sewershed study and rehabilitation, new sewer design, water distribution, water/wastewater treatment, and pump station projects in the Mid-Atlantic.   • Analyze project requirements and information from alternative studies to develop an accurate report for submittal.

We're seeking to hire a Sheet Metal Roofing Crew Lead with strong hands-on experience in commercial and industrial roofing systems, and advanced material knowledge including insulation, underlayment, flashing systems, and various metal types. The ideal candidate will also bring expertise in jobsite estimating, material takeoffs, and labor cost projections to ensure precision, efficiency, and profitability across all projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a crew of roofing professionals on active job sites, ensuring high-quality work and jobsite efficiency.
  • Oversee installation, repair, flashing, and maintenance of sheet metal roofing systems, including standing seam, R-panel, corrugated, TPO-covered metal, and custom-fabricated components.
  • Perform material takeoffs and estimate quantities for roofing systems including fasteners, sealants, insulation, vapor barriers, edge metals, and coatings.
